Potter Sighting

I know, I know, it has been a long time since I posted. To be fair, I have been busy with work, vacation and mine and hubby's schedules. Besides, my thinking is done at bedtime when I am trying to fall asleep, and we all know that is not the best time to blog.

Anyway, Father's day was great. The whole family got together at mom & dad's and we had a pitch in cookout. For dessert mom had made a homemade cake (for T & my b-day's) and one of her famous blackberry "clobbers" (cobbler). My sister and hubby decided that we needed ice cream to go with it, so hubby went to town to get some. He was gone longer than it should have taken. When he got back he apologized saying he ran into an old "talkative" friend named "Harry". My daughter looked at him funny for a few seconds, then declared with awe in her voice "HARRY POTTER!!" To which we all laughed with much enthusiasm, for you see she is as big a Harry Potter fan as I am.

Stinker

Well, the little stinker is at it again. Of course I am talking about my daughter. She attends daycare at a local church. Because of her and a couple of her co-horts the daycare has implemented a new disciplinary system. The system consists of a stop light and clothes pins. The child gets two warnings and then has their clothes pin moved to yellow, after two more warnings, red and a visit to the office and a possible call to parent(s). Of course, my daughter has been at red three of the four days since the start. I know what you are thinking, what about the fourth day, well she got to yellow. I hope she gets out of this rebealious stage quickly. I am running out of punishment ideas. The latest is to threaten to move her to a new daycare away from her friends. I will see tonight when I pick her up if that has worked.

Potter Mania

For those of you who know me well you will not be shocked by my saying, that I Love the Harry Potter series, books and movies. I admit that I gave my mom a hard time when they first came out, evil, satanic, witchcraft, etc. But, after viewing the first 4 films, then reading all seven books and finally waiting till December 11th for the 5th film to come to dvd, I can't get enough. I have viewed almost everything on youtube and msn, anything I can get my hands on. Some think I am obssessed. I would have to agree, to some extent. Trust me, if you have not seen the movies, watch at least the first 2 and then see how you feel. JK Rowling is genius. (Also, it doesn't hurt that Daniel Radcliffe is so HOT) (Yes I know he is only 18)

Nothing

I asked my daughter the other day what she wanted Santa to bring her. She responded "Nothing". I said "why". She responded "because Mimi and Papa will get it for me". I honestly don't know where she comes up with this stuff.

AAAAHHHH

What a week. My job has been more hectic than ever. I have had more work shoved at me this past week than in the last 2 months. But, that is the nature of the business. I would rather have too much work than sit bored to death wondering if my job will be there in a month without work coming in.

NO!

So this morning my daughter wanted me to fill her cup with water, for the third time. I told her no. She said yes. I said no. She said "don't tell me no." I said what did you say. She smiled and said "yes". That little stinker.

Daughter

My daughter received lots and lots of Easter candy from my inlaws. She preceded to eat a lot of the chocolate over the next several days. Everytime I turned around she had more chocolate in her hand. One night, after she had gone to bed, I had my husband hide the candy so that she would not get in it. The next morning she went to get some candy and I told her daddy put it up. She responded by saying "Oh man!" It was so cute.
